On the ground floor of the MAS (Museum Aan de Stroom, Museum on the River) in Antwerp café STORM is located. STORM is more than a museum cafe. It is a grassroots store where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, aperitifs or simply a cup of coffee or a pint of beer. The interior is mainly built of birch plywood to obtain a warm atmosphere within an existing concrete interior. Within the existing volume a small kitchen unit was created and a large counter volume. Because of the problem of minimal storage space, a large wall cupboard was fitted in, built from different volumes. These have been painted in green and black chalkboard paint, so the waiters can write the menu and beverages suggestions on them.

"Vintage Chic" restaurant, with a completely secondhand interior. Product and personality take first place at Josephine’s, so the guest really is the centre of attention here. Classic and high-quality seasonal cuisine based on cooking with as much local produce as possible. The restaurant is combined with a stylish and ultra-classic Dry Martini Bar.
Through various elements such as rough brick walls, walls in wooden slats and the like, a warm and welcoming atmosphere is created, which, combined with the second hand furniture and lighting, turns the whole into one large living room, where everyone feels at home. The various small elements such as the cuckoo clocks, perfume bottles and old crockery, refer back to the cosy comfort of one’s mother’s home.

Since 1904, Paon Royal, better known as the brasserie of the Antwerp Zoo, is an institute in the city. After several destructive alterations, it was decided to carry out a thorough renovation. After examination on the basis of plans and photographs, the original features, such as a parquet floor and the ceiling, were restored to their original splendour. The space was divided into several zones to accommodate the different needs of the visitors. The large marble bar in the middle of the room serves as the pivot of the brasserie. The use of quality materials such as marble, oak, etc. refers back to the early years of the brasserie and the adjacent halls.

Located at the Leopold Square in Antwerp, restaurant Zoro opened its doors in 2008. The restaurant, characterized by its black colour and shiny materials, is an attractive restaurant with a nice view of the square through the large windows. Especially the various walls covered in pieces of mirror do stand out. This type of wall can also be found on the first floor, where a wine and champagne bar has been created in combination with a lounge and terrace. The various characteristic features of the property, such as parquet floors, decorative strips and fire place have been preserved. The use of pony skins on the floor and as coverings for the seats are a reference to the real Zorro.

A contemporary brasserie that also functions as a bar. Hence the pun "barsserie". This brasserie, located at the Leopold De Waelplaats in Antwerp, opposite the Museum of Fine Arts, will soon also serve as the lobby of the Hotel O above it. The hint at the old brasseries and pubs is not far away. The furniture consists of different models of chairs and tables, which have been lacquered white. The collective memory of man instantly recognizes the cosiness and authenticity of the real pubs. The entire floor, walls, ceiling and bar are made of brick in combination with rough white lacquered wood for the cabinets and tablets, a reference to authentic materials in contemporary design.

Since 1999 Hangar Eenenveertig is an established value in Antwerp. The grand-cafe on the corner of Scheldestraat and the quays became a classic among the brasseries in Antwerp. After 8-years number a thorough restyling was needed.
The sleek modern interior of the late ’90s no longer met the requirement of a contemporary brasserie. By implementing dark colours, large mirror surfaces and especially materials such as the wooden blocks on the floor and walls a warm authentic interpretation of a grand café is created.

The former train station Antwerpen-Dam underwent a turbulent history since its inception in 1898. After several functional changes and a few years of lack of occupancy, D-club opened its doors in this building.

D-club is a club/ bar/party room that can be used for different purposes. On Saturday’s there is a regular club night, but during the other days special parties are organized; and this location is also rented for corporate and weddings, etc. The breakdown of the club in two rooms which can be connected gives the club an enormous flexibility in the use of functions. By providing a large bar and DJ area in each compartment, these rooms get their own identity.

Gentplaats 1 – B-2000 Antwerp

In 1997 Wok en ’t Tafeldier (Table animal) opened its doors at this location. This first wok restaurant in mainland Europe quickly became a trendsetter in its own kind. After many other restaurants following the example, it was decided in 2007, after 10 years, to innovate one step beyond. The Tafeldier made room for the Tandoor, an Indian charcoal oven which opened a new niche in Asian cuisine.
The interior also received a complete makeover. The large, white room with big tables for groups, made room for a darker, more intimate experience. Various Asian features were used in a modern way. The group restaurant was changed into a restaurant with cosy dining facilities for two. Wok & Tandoor also expanded by adding to the restaurant two basement rooms that can used as private rooms for groups. Each basement can accommodate groups of up to 20 people for a unique personal experience.
In 2007 Wok & Tandoor won the silver palm in the concept competition for the best restaurant concept in France and Belgium, organized by Leaders Club France.

In 2007 the building at the Leopold de Waelplaats in Antwerp was turned into the third Wok A Way restaurant. Again, rapid, healthy and delicious wok dishes, sushi and dim sum in a contemporary setting were focussed on. The various references in the interior to the Asian living environment, history and eating can be found in the "sitting pits" in the back of the restaurant where one "sits on the floor" to eat, in the large communist poster in the entrance hall, and in the use of bamboo in the flooring and the counter volume.
